Float Recoveries

Running Times had an article in the April 2012 issue about float recoveries.  The article is not available online, but Ryan Hall and Alberto Salazar chimed in.  Here are their sessions:

Hall: 10 x mile at M / mile at M+60 –> 20 miles total, within a 23-mile long run.  Hall averages 20 miles at M+30 pace.

Salazar: 3 mi w/u + 5 x alternating mile at M-10, mile at M+20 + 2 c/d –> 14-15 miles total.  Salazar recommends averaging 10 miles at M+5 pace.
