The July ’13 issue of Running Times included a sample week from Scott Simmons:

Mon: am: 5 miles; pm: 10 miles + 6 x 80m hills sprints + plyos

Tue: am: 5 miles; pm: 3 mi w/u + 12 x 800m + 2 mi c/d

Wed: am: 5 miles + 30 mins aqua jogging; pm: 8 miles easy

Thu: am: 5 miles; pm: 9 miles + 6 x 150m + plyos

Fri: am: 5 miles + 30 mins aqua jogging; pm: 3 mi w/u + 8 miles progressive tempo + 2 mi c/d.

Sat: am: 10 miles easy

Sun: am: 15 miles progressive long run; pm: 30 mins aqua jogging
